SupSonic provides verbiage built on three pillars of evidence: (1) Building Code — IRC and local code citations that make the item a legal requirement, (2) Manufacturer Requirement — warranty specifications from manufacturers like GAF, Owens Corning, and CertainTeed that make the item necessary for coverage, and (3) Physical Evidence — field condition language describing why the item is needed on your specific job. Not every item has all three pillars — the verbiage provided depends on what’s applicable to that specific line item.

After that, you enter everything into Xactimate, attach photo documentation, and submit to the carrier. SupSonic replaces the most labor-intensive piece of that process. Instead of hours of manual review, you upload the estimate and get your missing items with codes and verbiage in under 30 seconds. What’s left for you is entering the recommendations into Xactimate, attaching your job site photos, verifying quantities match your specific job, and submitting. The heavy lifting — identifying what’s missing and building the documentation to justify it — is handled for you.

This is the step that takes experienced specialists hours and that many teams skip entirely because it’s not worth the time investment. After SupSonic, you still need to: copy the codes and verbiage into Xactimate (one-click copy is built in), attach job site photos to applicable line items within Xactimate, verify quantities and measurements match your specific job, and submit the supplement to the carrier. SupSonic turns what used to be the bottleneck of the entire process into the fastest step.

A building code citation tells the adjuster the item is required — a photo proves it’s needed on this specific roof. When in doubt, photograph it — extra photos rarely hurt a supplement but missing photos frequently cause denials.

Best practice is to attach photos directly to the specific line item they support — for example, attach a photo of a deteriorated pipe jack boot directly to the pipe jack line item, not just in a general photo appendix. This makes it immediately clear to the adjuster what each photo is documenting. Label your photos clearly with the elevation and item they correspond to.

Not currently. SupSonic focuses on identifying missing items and providing codes and verbiage. Photo documentation happens in Xactimate as part of your supplement submission. We recommend taking comprehensive job site photos during your field inspection — it’s much harder to go back for photos after the fact.
